John A Douglas has recently completed the final version of Circles of Fire (variations), a sychronised two channel video with sound, and it is now ready for full exhibition release. The work was also recently acquired by Artbank for their collection and made available for corporate and private leasing and is also currently available in a unique box set edition at Chalk Horse. The work will feature in the regional touring program of exhibitions and events, The Patient: The Medical Subject in Contemporary Art curated by Bec Dean, commencing at the Manning Regional Gallery in May 2017. The touring program continues until the end of 2018. Circles of Fire (variations) has been confirmed for a group exhibition titled, Sublime/Internal/Subliminal: Emerging and Established Australian Video Art curated by Shaun Wilson at the State Museum of Contemporary Art, Thessaloniki, Greece. Dates TBC. A pop up Chalk Horse solo exhibition of the two channel video, glass objects (featured in the video), and photographic prints of landscape portraits and T- Cell microscopy will be announced later in the year.
